@knead.to.create 🤎Diversity Sensory Bin 🖤 . . Simple can sometimes be magical and this set up was both! . . I filled our favorite target tray with a variety of beans, added the prettiest hand painted rainbow peg dolls, and some scoops and bowls. The kids and I read stories and had thoughtful conversations. . . Clara loved scooping. As she scooped and played we talked about the color of the beans, the color of the peg dolls and how that translated to our own family, and our friends. We talked about similarities + differences and what makes us unique and beautiful. . . Kids are so receptive, and these conversations although they may seem heavier at times are so important especially at the youngest of ages. 🌟

@deejcariel ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀SNOW DAY ❄️ • • Growing up I was NOT the kid who liked to play in the snow. In fact, you couldn’t pay me to walk outside on a snowy day. Baby Brandon is just like his mommy — hence why our photo opps or snowy play moments are always cut short because baby boy wants to come out of the jacket and get back into the warm 😂👏🏾 Lucky for him because our reading line up had all of our favorites! Each day of #BlackHistoryMonth we are reading books by brown authors and illustrators! I’ve shared a few and even a dope surprise at the end 👀 Also, check out the link in my bio to grab some of our favorite books for your little ones this month. We have an entire list put together with all of our favorites!!! Leave us some love if you’re just as excited for what’s “coming soon”! Bailey Lauren helped with every little detail and we are so excited to share it with you and your little ones. Written AND illustrated by baby girl and myself 💗

@erin.l.claudio We try and raise our daughters with an open mind and an open heart. I’m so excited I found this book at target. Each nite I’ll read a story or two to Penny so she can learn the importance of black history month. Raise your children to see the world clearly and to continue to do the work to make it a better place.
